Important projects,Institutions

NagarjunaSagar project present in this constituency is serving the irrigation needs of five districts covering an area of 22 lakhs acres. Buddhavanam is present near the dam and it is spread over 200 acres of land on the Hyderabad-Nagarjunasagar highway. The lift irrigation projects supplying water to Sagar canal in the Peddhapur mandal are there in the constituency. A prestigious company, Reddy's Laboratory is also present in this area.

Ongoing Programmes

People are facing a lot of trouble as there was a delay in the developmental activities of Nagarjuna Sagar Left Canal Ayacut and many lands were left barren as there was no water supply. The modernisation of 15 acres of land by constructing major and minor canals with CC lining is taking place. A few acres of land has received water from the river Krishna. The completion of Sagar canal motor pipes facilitated the needs of irrigation for more 30 acres of land.

Pending issues

Due to absence of Junior and Degree colleges in the constituency, students are forced to travel to nearby Miryalaguda and Nalgonda districts for their studies. Majority of the constituency is not receiving the waters of Krishna river and if the works of Mission Bhagiratha completes, then there will be a chance of villages getting drinking water. The demand for a court in Nidamanuru, remained on papers and a couple of years back, but a junior civil court was established in Nidamanuru. A new constituency in the name of Nagarjuna Sagar has been formed during re-organisation of the constituencies.

Important places

The Sagar project has gained the historical prominence. Buddhavanam is also there in this constituency. Acharya Jayashankar agriculture centre is also there.
