Nearby Huzurnagar there is a pilgrimage centre, Mattapalli, which is popular among the neighbouring villages and towns. Its legend dates back to 13th century BC. Lord Narasimha Swamy is worshiped here and considered the most powerful god. This temple is located on the banks of river Krishna.

Interesting Points

The constituency, of late, is recieving widespread attention across the state, chiefly due to two reasons, one being that TPCC chief himself is representing the party in this constituency and and the other is that Shankaramma, mother of the martyr Srikanthachary, is representing TRS in this constituency. TPCC chief will be contesting in the coming election from this constituency as all other political heavy weights of Congress are not in a position to expect party ticket.
