He started his political career as a follower DK Bharatsimha Reddy. Later he joined TDP and won as ZPTC member. He lost his ticket as MLA and in the last elections he lost contesting from TRS. He is the nephew of DK Bharatsimha Reddy. He owns a crusher business and is also a contractor. He played in keyrole in bringing funds to the constituency. Inspite of his setbacks in the elections, he still enjoys considerable following in the constituency.
